I am from London, England, they say its one of the most expensive cities in the world but its all relative, for instance big salaries and better deals on everything could make up for the expensive cost of living and eating out. I moved to Vancouver in 2007 and was shocked to find how expensive this city was. The salaries were practically half the London salaries without the abundance of jobs (in 2007) and there are a lot of things that are the same price as London i.e mobile phones, internet connection, alcohol, grocery shopping (way more expensive in Vancouver), car insurance etc etc

I was also surprised at the lack of deals and internet shopping, I realised postage and packing was one of the reasons for the lack of interest due to Canada being such a large country and post being delayed a fair bit (I will never complain about the Royal Mail every again).

I’m a Frugal person, not tight…just frugal, there’s a HUGE difference, I’m frugal so I don’t have to be tight

As a woman I like my bargains and will go out of my way to get them, I am determined to find deals and bargains which I found are mostly hidden below the surface. And of course I intend to share my experiences and recommendations on this blog, so keep coming back!
